Become an Advocate
Victim Advocacy training is offered in the spring and fall. This training is a 30 hour state-mandated course that all Victim Advocates must complete. Advocates answer the 24 hour hotline (must agree to be on-call for two 12-hour shifts per month), provide hospital accompaniment, follow-up contact, legal advocacy, financial advocacy, and court accompaniment. Victim Advocates help victims find appropriate resources in the community and ensure that victims know their rights.
